When accounting for salaries, if you have someone that will be out for multiple weeks, and he is placed on your DL slot, you must continue to cover his full salary. However, if you get someone that will be out for the entire season, you must post on the ESPN Message Board to let the league know that he won't come off your DL for the remainder of the season. If this happens, you won't have to pay his salary and will be taken off your 25-man roster without going through Waivers.
When you place a player on the DL, you must call up a player to take over his spot. Once a player comes off the DL in the MLB, he must come off your DL slot within 3 days. If this is not done, he will automatically be sent down to your 40-man roster and go through Irrevocable Waivers.
