I make out a master sheet of players that I want and cross off the ones that someonelse has drafted. I am set for the next 4 picks so that makes things move along faster.

Damn I know its only spring training but Jason Heyward looks NASTY!
Now keep in mind I am both an Optimist and a DIE HARD Braves fan.
That being said I think Heyward could put up HUGE numbers this year, run away with the NL ROY award, and carry the Braves at times.
In 2 games(6 Plate Appearances) he has laced a double to wall in right center, scorched a single to right, drawn 3 walks, and made 1 out(on a pop out to 3rd).
He stole 3rd, advanced 3 bases on passed balls (2 of which were knocked down and kept a few feet from the Catcher which made for close plays at 2B)
He has also made 2 diving catches.
This kid IS SICK!

Oh and I forgot to mention that the Braves had erect a wall in right field because Heyward was hitting ML Pitchers BP so far that he caused 7K in damages to cars in the parking lot. He was hitting bombs farther than anyone ever has at the field and actually broke the sunroof on assistant GM Bruce Manno's Mercedes. Not to mention was responsible for sizable dents in a few other cars.
He has earned the nickname...The J-Hey Kid

I was reading about him on one of the baseball blogs and he was killing balls in batting practice, denting up a couple of cars along the way, they said that had never happened at Braves' spring training facility. If this guy pans out he could reach Pujols like phenom. I think the Phillies will win the NL East, but should be tight finish for the second spot. I like the Marlins personally if Maybin can break out and Stanton gets called up and translate well to the pros. Though the Braves starting rotation will keep them in contention.

Well at the very least I am feeling better and better about spending such a high draft pick on him.

WOW... Nathan is done for the season. Huge blow to Hawaii Braves as Nathan was a top closer.
Oh well Guess you know now and can draft the Minnesota set up man as a backup. Or draft some rookies and play for next year.

On the plus side with Nathan on the DL for the year you will have 11 M to spend.

Especially since Nathan is often listed so highly as a closer because of his durability and consistency, getting injured was not expected at all. Brutal.

This is why I did not draft relievers early, too easy to get injured and even easier to replace.
