So Jair Jurrjens is flying back to ATL to have MRIs done on his shoulder after lingering soreness.
Terrible news for since I am a HUGE Braves fan and worse news for Hawaii since JJ was an early pick of his predecessor.

Pitchers are always a gamble because they are one bad incident away from being done for the year and maybe ineffective in the future

Try 40!
Wells makes 20 this year although it wont effect Hawaii til next year since his salary in 09 was 10. I think Hunter makes 18 doesnt he?

Something ridiculous like that. Wells constantly get ranked as having the worst contract in the MLB. Hunter isn't bad with his defense taken into account, even if Guti was robbed last year, but offensively I know his numbers aren't too astounding.

I really Liked Davis and Matusz... sad to see them off the board so early.
I do think its kind of interesting that young affordable pitchers who are not yet in their prime are still available and people are going to prospects.(Albeit very talented prospects) I could understand if guys like Hudson, Lowe, Oswalt and Burnette were the only ones left and you wanted to save money now and compete later.

Vernon Wells does have the worst contract in baseball, He goes from 20mil in 2009 and increases between 21mi and 23mi through 2014 I believe that is right. I got hjm off one of my teams in another league.

Had to go with Davis since so many prospects were being taken, with trading away my 12th round pick I'm not picking again for a LONG time and my pitching core is Verlander, Nolasco, Chapman and now Davis, still a long ways to go there. But hittings looking GREAT!

Yeah I think I am just looking to snag prospects over the next 30 rounds, hopefully some of them pan out.

Just remember there are still young guys in the majors left who are just advanced prospects

IS there a way that players taken can be removed and we can see who is available? ex. On the espn site when someone is added to a team they get removed from the FA area so you can see who is available. I think by making it easier it'll really help the draft move along
